Coremetrics Appoints Terry Schmid as CFO

SAN MATEO, Calif., June 3, 2009 Coremetrics, the leader in marketing optimization, has appointed Terry Schmid as chief financial officer. Schmid brings over 20 years of financial leadership to the company, including CFO roles in publicly traded as well as venture-backed and private-equity owned companies.  At Coremetrics, Schmid will lead the finance, accounting, human resources, facilities, and legal functions.

"Terry has extensive experience in building exceptionally strong and disciplined finance functions for both established companies and emerging start-ups,” said Joe Davis, CEO, Coremetrics. “His expertise as a successful CFO and his hands-on experience as a seasoned operations executive will be an important addition to Coremetrics’ management team."

Prior to joining Coremetrics, Schmid was executive vice president and CFO at Enterasys Networks where he was responsible for finance, accounting, HR, legal, facilities, supply chain and sales operations. Schmid was part of a leadership team that helped return Enterasys to growth and profitability after being taken private by a private equity firm in 2006.

Prior to Enterasys, Schmid was CFO at Turnstone Systems, a publicly traded telecommunications company that specialized in testing equipment for DSL services. Schmid was also part of the founding team at ONI Systems, a developer of metropolitan area optical networking equipment. While there, he helped raise $125 million in venture investments and helped guide the company to a successful IPO.

Schmid has also served as CFO at The 3DO Company and has held financial and consulting positions with Electronic Arts, Sun Microsystems and Andersen Consulting (now Accenture).

He holds an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and a BA in Economics from the University of San Francisco.
