1. What is Coremetrics Benchmark™?
Coremetrics Benchmark is the industry’s only peer-level benchmarking solution that measures online marketing results, including e-commerce data, against those of the competition. Benchmark delivers aggregated and anonymous competitive data for industry-specific key performance indicators (KPIs), showing how a site performs competitively and historically compared to industry leaders and peers.
2. What companies are in Benchmark?
More than 300 leading U.S. retailers, representing approximately $20 billion in revenues annually, contribute their analytics data to Benchmark. Abercrombie & Fitch, Alibris, Bloomingdale’s, Coldwater Creek, L’Occitane, Macy’s, PETCO, and REI are just a few of the participating companies. To ensure the accuracy and statistical relevance of the data, Coremetrics requires that participating companies attain a minimum of 1 million page views per month. Given fluctuations in online traffic, the number of participating companies in any given month is approximately 200.
3. Why does the number of participating companies vary?
Only companies that meet the minimum criteria of 1 million page views per month can participate in Benchmark. Because web traffic patterns can vary, not every company contributes to the Benchmark every month. On average, approximately 200 companies contribute their data every month.
